What is Match Circle?

Match Circle is an event-based matchmaking app. You join a real-world event using a QR code from the host, get paired with one person at a time for short rounds of face-to-face conversation, and the day after the event you choose who you'd like to see again. When two people pick each other, it's a match.

How do I join an event?

Open the app, tap Join, and either scan the event's QR code or enter the access code your host provides. Once you're in, you'll see the event in your My Events tab.

I don't see any events to explore — why?

Match Circle only shows events you've been invited to or that your host has chosen to list publicly. If you're attending a private event, ask the host for the QR code or access link.

When do I find out who I matched with?

Picks open after the event ends — usually the next day. You'll be able to look back at everyone you met during the rounds and select who you'd like to stay in touch with. Mutual picks unlock contact details so you can take the conversation forward.

How does Match Circle use my contacts?

If you grant contact access, your address book is used to let you block people you don't want to be matched with. Phone numbers and email addresses from your contacts are hashed before being stored, so we never keep the raw contact details on our servers — we only use the hashes to check whether someone you've blocked is also a Match Circle user.

How do I change my phone number?

Go to Profile → Settings → Phone number and follow the verification steps. You'll receive a one-time code on the new number to confirm the change. Your match history and profile stay with your account.

How do I delete my account?

Open Profile → Settings → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and removes your profile, photos, and personal data from our systems. Anonymised event statistics may be retained as required by law.

I'm organizing an event — how do I get set up?

Event setup is currently handled by the Match Circle team. Email support@matchcircle.app with the date, expected number of guests, and a short description, and we'll get back to you with next steps.

The app isn't working — what should I do?

Try closing and reopening the app. If the problem persists, make sure you're on the latest version from the App Store and that your phone has a working internet connection. Still stuck?
